The Greatest Show on Earth
Andy and I had a little date last week to the Ringling Bros. circus here in town. It was a blast!!! Here's a few pics of the evening, complete with nutritional circus food. You don't have to be a child to be in awe of the circus!

Cuteness Defined
This past week Andy and I had a little party/pizza picnic at the park with his brother Jason and family. The kids had a wonderful time on the slide, and I enjoyed snapping pictures of their sweet smiles. Aren't they adorable?
Jason took some great pics and I took some with his camera. You can check out more of these on his blog...

Abortion Survivor - Gianna Jessen
Normally I don't post links to videos (except my husband's poetry). However, I highly recommend taking a few minutes to watch this powerfully testimony of an abortion survivor:

Oh Hail!!!
Don't you just love using the words hail and dam in normal conversation? It cracks me up every time.
This past Thursday, we had a horrific hail storm in Lubbock. It hit around 4:40pm, and at 5pm it slowed down enough for me to jump in my car and drive home from work. I was afraid that our skylights would be busted out. Thankfully, there was no visible damage, even to my car. I would say the hail was larger than golf ball size. Here's a picture as proof.

My Thoughts 11 Years Later
Last year on the 10 year anniversary of my dad's death, I posted about the incredible goodness of God surrounding his death. Today marks the 11 year anniversary of his passing, and I'm reminded of the sweetness of heaven and the call to run with perseverance.
"Therefore since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us." Hebrews 12:1
My dad falls in the "great cloud of witnesses" mentioned here - he put his faith and trust in Jesus, just like those mentioned in Hebrews 11. I'm reminded again today of the beauty and glory of heaven when things will be restored and made right, and we will at last get rid of the "sin which clings so closely." With each ache I experience in life, heaven seems all the more beautiful.
In the meantime, I'm going to run!

A Sweet Reminder of Christ on Easter
I posted a few months ago about our church moving into a real, grownup church building. One thing I mentioned was the unusual baptisms we had prior to having a baptistry - a swimming pool, a portable hot tub, and an almost kiddie pool. I figured these unusual settings were over once we had a baptistry.
I was wrong.
Today at 4pm, our pastor baptized a brother and sister in our hot tub in our backyard.
Why? Because of security issues. In country they are from in Central Asia it is illegal to be a Christian. They have a friend who was recently murdered for being a Christian and wanted a smaller, more intimate setting.
Pray with me that they would follow hard after the Lord, and if they go back to their home country they would bring the gospel where it is illegal and that many who have never heard the name of Jesus would come to faith through their testimony.

I Need Your Help
For a little while now I have been contemplating doing something different with my hair.
Here are the options:
1. A cute haircut (I don't want to take much length off).
So, I need your help. If you are a lurker now is the time when I need you to comment and to be brutally honest. What should I do? What do you like best?
Here are the options:
1. A cute haircut (I don't want to take much length off).
- Pros: Undamaged hair, cheaper.
- Cons: My hair is fine and thin and straight and tends to look stringy.
- Pros: Something different, it gives tons of body to my hair, can wear straight or curly.
- Cons: It's a beast when I grow it out, damages hair, costs money.
- Pros: Also something different, lots of fun.
- Cons: Washes out fast, more maintenance to upkeep as it grows out, costs money.
So, I need your help. If you are a lurker now is the time when I need you to comment and to be brutally honest. What should I do? What do you like best?
